Wire cut and EDM machines remove material by electrical discharge, cutting hardened steel, carbide and exotic alloys that resist conventional tooling. Wire EDM produces fine contours, tight corners and tapers for dies and punches, while sinker EDM forms cavities, ribs and deep slots with excellent surface finish and no cutting force.
